God - Gods
Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation. Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
God Is Close
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
God Is One
And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.
God Is Spirit
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The Way to God
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The Comforter, the Holy Spirit
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
God - Gods - Idols
As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Inspired By God
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Much is said about God
If somebody asks for the reason and source of life, there is a great multitude of answers offered, many of those about the center of the question: God. There is only one question: Which answers can one trust? Who tells us the truth?
The fact is: In this case too there is only one truth. This truth can be found in God's word, the Bible.
However just like much simpler statements by men are interpreted in different ways, it happens so much more with the contents of the Bible. Therefore we have only one chance / option: We need the help of the one speaking (inspiring the statements), God, to understand what was said by him. Fortunately God does want to help us with this.
